One last bit of history

The next appointment is on the 29th and according to the doc there is going to be a lot more to see at that point. I hope so because the first sonogram looked like a scene from "The Hunt for Red October".

But i have much better news then future sonograms. on Sunday the 19th morning sickness entered our previously blissful pregnancy. My days now involve tip toeing through a mine field. She took off of work on Monday and had to fess up to her boss Tuesday that she was pregnant cause she looked not so good. but there are a couple of good things. I know what an industrial sized box of saltines looks like and we know own a bucket. Traditionally used for making sand castles and having fun our is currently in the reserve nausea brigade waiting to be called up for active duty in case there is an imminent blowing of chunks.

I have learned several things. I can not make a move unless it is a small quite move. I am no longer allowed to make any sounds. breathing makes a sound. when getting on and off the couch i need to slide on and off of the cushions because sitting creates turbulence which is not comfortable. I will never make a good ninja.

Things that we have learned help with nausea
- Ginger Chews
- Ice Cream
- ginger tea - grate ginger into hot water let sit and add sugar.
- saltines. Lots of them
- carbs, which she shouldn't be eating.

  1. Just StumbledUpon your blog-- ever heard of 'QueezeEase'? I got a free sample from my doctor a while ago and it works SO WELL! You don't have to eat/swallow anything (you smell it), which helps a lot with nausea. I can't find the original site, but http://www.gaiagarden.com/conditions/pregnancy/morning_sickness/11134 seems like it's the same thing (same ingredients, etc).

Good luck! Congratulations on the future addition! :o)
